My Favorite State-Specific Bread Recipe

This buttercup yellow bread is a hit with my two little kids.

When combined with cinnamon, squash adds moisture and tastes delicious.

Any brunch or dinner table will be delighted to have this.

Traditional meat pies, called pasties, are a staple in my hometown of Michigan's Upper Peninsula, where I spent my childhood.

Whether you dip them in gravy or ketchup is debatable, but either way, they're quite soothing.

Apples and zucchini are both plentiful in this region, so it seems to reason that they would be combined in a single recipe.

This bread has been a favorite of mine for a long time, but I have no idea where it came from.
